During the Past, Present & Future of Borderlands panel at Pax South, Randy Pitchford announced Borderlands 3. As he likes to call it “The Big One”. Yesterday Take Two presented their financial reports and of course, GTAV sold amazingly. But the director of 2K Games, Karl Slatoff had the following things to say:
“We have several titles in development, including new releases from known franchises. As an example we can say that 2K and Gearbox Software will develop a completely new Borderlands game , which is built specifically for next-gen consoles.”

The next-gen consoles are the Xbox One & Playstation 4 and of course, there will be a PC version. But Gearbox isn’t holding back on performance because the game has to run on Xbox360 & PS3. So some next-level Borderlands is on the way. I’m looking forward to Borderlands 3.
