Hyrule Warriors is a Hack ‘n Slash spin-off of The Legend of Zelda franchise co-developed by Nintendo and Tecmo Koei. It brings the action packed gameplay of Dynasty-Warriors in the setting of we know and love of the Zelda Series . Hyrule Warriors is not part of the official Zelda timeline although it draws heavily from other games in the Legend of Zelda series.
One of the main villains in Hyrule Warriors is Cia, a black sorcerers obsessed by the soul that is present in every incarnation of Link throughout the Zelda serie. Once she was tasked to protect and keep balance to the Triforce, but eventually Cia began to grow romantic feelings for this hero, Link. When these affections turned into jealousy towards Princess Zelda, Cia’s became vulnerable to the will of an evil being that was thought to have been sealed away long ago. Corrupted by this evil darkness in her heart, Cia and her two primary comrades, Volga and Wizzro, stand against Link and set a war for Hyrule into motion.
