- Phoebe was named internally for her original designer’s wife.
- Phoebe’s rapier, Addonexus, was named by the daughter of Battleborn’s Creative Director.
- As mentioned in the lore Phoebe is the Daughter of Bertholomew Hemsworth. Bertholomew is also the name of one of the Gearbox Designers.
- During concept development Gearbox used assets from Borderlands 2 as temporary placeholder. They used Maya as a character model with Zero’s Katanas as the floating swords.
- The early concept was that Phoebe had just 1 rapier that time shifted and therefore looked like she had multiple rapiers. This idea was later scraped.
- Early in development Phoebe had a skill that looked like Rath’s ultimate move. Phoebe’s swords would spin around her and kill everything surrounding her. This skill was something she could do every 10 seconds, but was later removed from the game.
- Brian Thomas mentioned that Phoebe was the 6 or 7th Battleborn hero Gearbox designed.
- Phoebe’s eyes are red because of the HUD in her contact-lenses, which she uses to control her abilities.

- Phoebe in-depth guide by Kitru
- If you take right option at level 8 with Phoebe, you get 9 seconds of increased movement speed if you took left option at level 1.
- Phoebes’s legendary only works with true strike and if you use any other primary attack the stacks will go back to 0. So don’t bother using it
- If you have less than 20% atk speed(something like that) and hold primary and secondary attack with phoebe, the animation cuts only allowing 3 hits and not the full combo.
- You can hold both attack buttons as phoebe to continuously alternate between the two. Good for keeping on people, but it should be noted that each hit in phoebe’s left click combo does more than the previous.

PEDIGREE: Heiress of the Hemsworth Dynasty, Daughter of Bertholomew Hemsworth, Active Tradelord of the Hemsworth Arcship.
FAMILIAL WORTH: The Hemsworth Dynasty, whose origins travel 500 years hence with the rise of the legendary Hemsworth Manufactory Fleet, have contributed a number of social and technological staples of our current age, including the “Magnus” line of artificial intelligences. They are a high-ranking family among the Guilded Enclave (the ruling dynastic franchises of the Last Light Consortium).
SPECIES: Female Human. Sadly.
SKILLS / ACCREDITATIONS: Known to be an eccentric inventor, focusing on non-cybernetic solutions to problems (disappointing). She claims to have succeeded in blending Eldrid “magic” hoo-ha with LLC tech to craft cerebrally-directed sabers. (I did this with foam rings when I was five. Just FYI.) She is also a capable fencer. (Did I mention sabers?) Claims some skill at dancing. Likes to float, apparently.

Please review the attached cost breakdown for the damage caused by the young Miss Hemsworth to our Montgomery Ballroom.
While she should have been practicing the Volstein Waltz, Miss Hemsworth – who, frankly, has never shown much promise as a dancer – took it upon herself to shatter our fine display case, made of rare sugar glass from Sombar VIII, and steal an antique rapier that belonged to my great-great-grandfather, the esteemed Admiral Theodore Kesterton.
As if that weren’t ghastly enough, Miss Hemsworth proceeded to terrorize the other students as the rapier bounded to and fro (seemingly of its own accord!), slashing our lovely Kesterton tapestries, splitting the Kesterton family crest that hangs above the foyer doors in twain, and ruining my mother’s finest silk frock.
