Mercenary Group ‘B-Team’ Discovered

I found the location in which Tina, Mordecai, and Brick are hiding and what the Skull patches are about.

It is confirmed that Borderlands 3 will be at E3 this year. I was speculating on which new location Gearbox Software and 2K Games would show. Because they already showed off the desert on Pandora and the Atlas city on Promethea, I thought a jungle environment would really mix it up. It would showcase the diversity of the game. But if Gearbox decides to show off this jungle area I can’t help and wonder if we will see (Tiny) Tina, Mordecai, and Brick.

Tina, Mordecai, and Brick Found

A little while back when I was going over the various locations in the Borderlands 3 trailers. I noticed that the location where Tina, Mordecai, and Brick are standing matches up with another exterior location. If you look closely the frame of the window matches in both scenes and even the chains line up

(Note: because you are looking at it from a different angle you need to mirror the chains).

B-Team Mercenaries

Tina and her parents were sold to Hyperion to become test subjects for Jack’s slag mutation experiments, an event which led to the deaths of her parents. She escaped their fate using a grenade that she had hidden in her dress at her mother’s insistence. Now that the explosives expert is all grown up, she has found herself as one-third of the mercenary group known as “B-Team,” along with her colleagues Brick and Mordecai.

This little lore bit can be found on the new (Tiny) Tina figurine that is produced by McFarlane and will be released later this year. Now we finally know what the Skull with the ‘B’ patch stands for and why Tina, Brick, and Mordecai have it. However, we don’t know what role they will be playing in the game. Will they be our main NPCs on that planet, like how Rhys is our contact on Promethea? During my hands-on play session, I noticed that Zero gave out assassination targets. These are mini-bosses that you can encounter during your exploration. If Gearbox sticks with the philosophy that 1 NPC is linked to a specific crew challenge then we should expect something different from the B-Team. Will they give out Raids or do you think we can hire them as NPCs to accompany us during quests?
