Borderlands 2 launched with an optional Season Pass that contains several pieces of downloadable content (DLC), however, when Gearbox Software wrapped up all the Season Pass Content, they extended the game with additional Head Hunter Packs.
Story Campaign Add-ons
Story Campaign Add-ons are big stand-alone adventures. The first 2 Story Campaign DLCs can be played whenever you want, however, the events of the last 3 Story Campaign DLCs take place after Borderlands 2’s main story campaigns.
