There are a bunch of activities scattered throughout Borderlands 4‘s map that reward you for completing them.

Areas of Interest
Areas of Interest are repeatable objectives that occasionally appear throughout Kairos. These dynamic events allow you to earn rewards based on your performance.
Airshipwreck World Event
Fight against Order troops and destroy their cargo they are trying to load onto their Airships.
You can destroy the cargo from nearby trucks on the ground. You need to lower the truck’s shields by removing the batteries on the side before you can shoot the supplies.
You also need to board their Airships by stepping into the tractor beam. Once inside the Order’s Airship, you need to destroy as many enemies and cargo crates as you can. You can find crates throughout the cargo hold, and also look out for secondary objectives. Exit the airship before they execute the incineration protocol, as this will instantly kill you. There is a timer next to the objective, and an Order Commander will do a call out on the intercom at 40 and 20 seconds mark and then a 10-second countdown.
Tip: The fourth and final ship contains a Red Chest.

Reward Tiers
You can score points while engaging with a dynamic event and increase your rewards.
- Claim Reward from Stage
- Bronze Reward
- Silver Reward
- Gold Reward
- Platinum Reward
I assume each will give you a Reward Chest, with higher rewards offering better loot, which you can open up through ECHO-4 in the Echo Menu.
Activities
Activities are one time challenges that allow you to take control over Kairos.
Safe Houses
Claim safe houses and gain access to a new Fast Travel Station, Vendors, and an advantage point for gliding through the sky.

Silos
Claim Silos to restore Vendors and an advantage point for gliding through the sky.
Also Rewards: SDU Tokens + Vault Key Fragment Location
Ancient Crawler
Ransack these abandoned crawlers for valuable tech and restore access to nearby vendors.

Bounty Board
You can find a Bounty Board throughout Kairos. These always provide little quests for you to complete. There are multiple types of contracts you can accept, and you can only have 5 contracts active at a time.
- Acquire: Retrieve an item and bring it to a specific location
- Bounty: Kill a challenging named enemy
- Collect: Kill multiple enemies and grab their collectible
- Patrol: Kill multiple enemies in an area
