Boss Description

Agonizer 9000 is a ‘Boss’ in Borderlands 3. It’s a giant murder machine that is operated by Penn & Teller, I mean Pain & Terror. You will encounter the Agonizer at the end of the mission “Blood Drive’. If you defeat Agonizer for the first time you will also get to kill Pain & Terror. They both have items from Agonizer’s loot pool.

Where can I find Agonizer 9000 in Borderlands 3?

Agonizer 9000 is located in the Guts of Carnivora on the planet Pandora. You will fight this murderous machine at the end of the map in the battle arena.Agonizer 9000 Location Guide - Borderlands 3

Which legendary items does Agonizer 9000 drop?

You can farm Agonizer 9000 for these legendary weapons as it is the dedicated loot source for these items. Agonizer 9000 has a big loot pool and therefore your chance of getting a specific legendary drop is low.

The Agonizer can also drop the ‘Agonizer 1500’. This is an Epic COV launcher that shoots 3 homing sawblades, however, be aware of your Autosell settings if you want this unique non-legendary item.

Agonizer 9000 Guide

Agonizer 9000 has several weak points. Look for red components on the robot. You can find them on its head, arm, & back. Also, the eyes are a weak point, and the chest. However, the chest gets protected by a barrier.

Agonizer has 2 life bars, 1 Armor bar that’s weak against Corrosive damage and 1 purple bar that’s weak against everything.

You want to walk circles around Agonizer 9000 to bypass its barrier and shoot its weak spots.

Pain will announce the attacks they will execute with the murder machine but the obvious visual clues are obvious. If the floor turns red, get out of that zone. Runaway if Agonizer wants to attack you with its sword or spikes.

When Agonizer 9000 will spin around and slash with its sword horizontally, you can easily dodge that by crouching or sliding underneath the blade.

A few Tinks will spawn during the fight but you don’t really have to worry much about them. These Tinks are pretty weak and are there for you to score a second wind when you go into fight for your life mode.
