Boss Description
Captain Traunt is a ‘Boss’ in Borderlands 3. He is the 4th boss you will encounter in the game. Captain Traunt is a unique heavy as he is a combination of both a Pyrotech and Icebreaker Heavy. You fight him at the end of the story mission The Impending Storm. Don’t confuse Samual with his brother Daniel Traunt.
Captain Traunt is located at the end of The Anchorhold district on the planet Athenas. 
You can farm Captain Traunt for these legendary weapons as it is the dedicated loot source for these items. Captain Traunt has a 30% legendary drop chance.
Captain Traunt Guide
Captain Traunt will start the fight by creating an ice barrier between him and you. His Cryo attacks will slow you down. Throughout the fight Captain Traunt will switch to Incendiary attacks that can create lava puddles on the floor.
Maliwan Assault Troopers will spawn during the fight. You can use them to score a second wind when you are downed.
You want to shoot on Captain Traunt’s generator that he carries on his back. This is his weak spot and results in critical hit damage.
