Boss Description
Killavolt is a ‘Boss’ in Borderlands 3. He’s the final boss of the side quest; “Kill Killavolt”. You obtain this mission from Moxxi aboard Sanctuary III.
Killavolt is located in Lectra City on the planet Promethea. He can be found on the other side of the map in ‘The Plant’ area. The arena is also known as The Bone Zone.
You can farm Killavolt for these legendary weapons as it is the dedicated loot source for these items. Killavolt has a 30% legendary drop chance.
Killavolt Guide
When jumping into the Killavolt fight, he will electrify the floor, jump over the blue tiles. You cannot damage Killavolt when he has his bubble shield active.
Having a transformer shield for this fight is super helpful.
While Killavolt has a blue shield bar (and a red health bar) he is actually shock resistant. So don’t use a shock-based weapon to drain his shield bar. Normal kinetic damage or Radiation will work best as the other elements will do reduced damage.
Killavolt is hiding behind a shield, so you need to flank him or wait until he lowers his shield. When he isn’t hiding behind cover, shoot him in his dick. Moxxi requested this and it’s also his weak/critical hit spot.
Killavolt is a coward and will hide during the fight. You can kill some COV bandits while you are waiting but you can use these for a Second Wind when you go into Fight For Your Life mode during the main battle.
When Killavolt raises his arms, he will electrify the floor once again. Look out for the tiles that are lighting up, avoid standing on these.
If you get to close Killavolt will try to kick you. If you run up to him and punch him, you can force him to lower his shield.
