Enemy Description
The Power Troopers are ‘Named Enemies’ in Borderlands 3. They used to be a ‘Rare Spawn’ and not always show up, however, Gearbox Software changed the spawn rate to 100%. You can get the side mission “Kill Power Troopers” from the bounty board on Sanctuary III. The Power Troopers are a reference to the tv series The Power Rangers.
Power Troopers Location
You can find Power Troopers on the map, Atlas HQ on the planet Promethea. When you fast-travel to the map, walk straight ahead, make a right, and then left to leave the first area. The natural progression through the map is to go right. But there is a shortcut so go left and once you reached the end, climb up the wall. There is a small ledge that you can grab and skip like half of the map. This shortcut also places you right in front of the Power Troopers. It might take a few seconds for them to spawn in and jump down. Check the infographic below for ‘The Skip’ (dude).

Power Troopers Loot Pool
You can farm the Power Troopers for these legendary weapons as they are the dedicated loot source for these items. The Power Troopers have a 2.5% legendary drop chance each.
- Sapphire & Tourmaline Force Trooper: Vanquisher, Tran-fusion, Hyperfocus XZ41, Destructo Spinner.
- Ruby, Citrine, Onyx Force Trooper: Nova Berner, Star Helix, Thunderball Fist, Surge

The Power Troopers Guide
The Power Troopers are Maliwan Troopers. They have a shield and a health bar, so bring a shock weapon to easily dispose of that shield that’s protecting them. Since they are buff versions of Maliwan Troopers they can flank you, so don’t get caught in the middle of the group. Expect grenades and Speeding Troopers.
