Wasterd Boss Guide

Wasterd has 3 life bars and every time you manage to remove one bar he will transition to a new attack phase.

Life BarsWeakness
Blue Shield BarWeak against Lightning Damage
Red Health BarWeak against Fire Damage
Grey Bone BarWeak against Frost Damage

Phase 1 – How to defeat Wasterd

Wasterd will immediately start launching projectiles at you once you enter the arena. Wasterd is a bit of a coward in this stage as he will move back and try and attack you from a distance.

After a few barrages, Wasterd will summon a Spectre to restore his shield bar but also multiple portals open up and start dropping in a skeleton army. Most of them will explode on impact but a few will hunt you down as Wasterd continues to launch projectiles at you.

You need to destroy the Spectre because it will keep restoring the boss’ ward. Even when you drained the whole blue bar and are halfway through the red bar, the boss can still fully restore the blue bar again.

When you are too close to the boss, he will slam his staff into the ground creating a shockwave that damages you and pushes you away from him.

You can use the environment to your advantage as you hide behind them as Wasterd shoots his projectiles. Don’t get surprised if a skeleton finds you. While there is a lot going on there are usually just two active enemies in the arena next to the main boss.

Phase 2 – How to defeat Son of a Witch

Once you manage to strip Wasterd from his Red health bar, he will also be striped from his flesh. The Boss is now a skeleton and known as “Son of a Witch”.

All the portals with exploding skeletons will disappear during this stage. They will make room for multiple regular skeletons that try and run up to you.

The boss will go underground and resurface somewhere else in the arena. While Wasterd kept his distance in the first phase, the boss will now try and blend in with the crowd and attack you head-on.

You need to keep an eye out on your mini-map to track the boss since every enemy in the arena is called “Son of a Witch”. So follow his movements that way or else you will be defeating a lot of decoys.

Occasionally, the boss will try and throw stuff but his main strategy is to blend in with the other five skeletons.
