April + May 2025 Channel Update

Hey, and welcome to another Channel Update. In these blogs, I want to update you on what has been happening on the website as I strive to create a kickass resource for you and share some personal insights.

Sorry that this update is a bit late, life got in the way.

Personal

• We celebrated my wife’s birthday in April, and we wanted to do something special for the milestone; therefore, we traveled to France and spent a few days in Disneyland Paris. Years ago, we had promised our oldest son we would go there, but it never came to that. Now we have made it happen and stayed at the Marvel-themed hotel.
  • We saw The Lion King mini-musical, as it is my wife’s favorite movie.
  • Best rides were the Star Tours: The Adventures Continue (a 4D Star Wars Shuttle ride) and the Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure (a 3D experience shooting spiderwebs from your wrists at spiderbots. Even Tom Holland was in the introduction video)
  • We gained +100 Karma Points at an Antman-themed Restaurant as they asked the name of our reservation. So I said GROOT and they were like “oh WOW, just like the character”.
  • Kids built their own lightsabers as you could assemble them from various hilts, switches, frames, and blades.
• Once home from Disney, we celebrated my wife’s birthday with family and friends.
• Then I got sick as a pretty nasty flu wave hit Holland took me a good week to recover, but getting my energy back took a bit longer. Then my wife got sick…
• We replaced the fence in the backyard. Darn clay ground doesn’t make it a light task.

Website

• Software updates
• Minor Tweaks
• Fixed Login Verification. Site Optimization Plugin broke a script.
• Fixed Social Media Icons. A filtering tool used general CSS and broke the icons because they used the same IDs.
• Learned a few new tricks to optimize the site

Borderlands 4

The Borderlands 4 State of Play dropped when I was sick, therefore, I didn’t make any videos about that as I didn’t have a voice. I worked on getting all the info up on the site while I was still low on energy.

Pre-State of Play

• Added a Borderlands 4 Loot page about the various items in the game. This is going to act as a quick getting-up-to-speed and will be linking to in-depth resources.
• Borderlands 4 “Switch 2” Trailer Breakdown
• New Borderlands 4 Trailer confirms Nintendo Switch 2 release
• I created videos for the Assassin and the Siren last month, and this month I created these:

  • The Mechanic: Everything We Know (YouTube)

Post-State of Play

• Exclusive Borderlands 4 State of Play: Full Presentation Recap
• Borderlands 4 Deep Dive at Pax East 2025
• Updated the dedicated Borderlands 4 Vault Hunters pages
• Borderlands 4 Roadmap, including dedicated pages about what to expect from each event.
• Borderlands 4 Collector’s Edition on the Horizon
• Borderlands 4 “State of Play” Trailer
• Borderlands 4 Dev Diary: Developing for Switch 2
• Created a HUB page for various Borderlands 4 game mechanics

• Created infographics explaining in-game HUDs like the skill tree, enhancements, and more.

Borderlands 3

When I’m not working on new Borderlands 4 content, I’m continuing my journey of updating all my Borderlands 3 content. I’ve gotten through all the main guides and character builds these past months. I’m looking to enhance all the gear pages, but I think I can only fully level up these when I rebuild the whole site.

• I wrote a Borderlands 3 Artifact guide because there wasn’t an overview of all the prefixes, and I wanted to provide more info on cool interactions you can take advantage of.
• Reworked Amara’s, FL4K’s, Moze’s, and Zane’s Character Overview Pages by rewriting the pages and adding info, images, and videos.
• Enhanced Amara’s, FL4K’s, Moze’s, and Zane’s Skill Tree pages. Cleared up the text, improved formatting, and added context.
• Reworked Amara’s, FL4K’s, Moze’s, and Zane’s Legendary Class Mod overview pages.
• Enhanced Amara’s, FL4K’s, Moze’s, and Zane’s Changelogs. Reformatted the pages and checked if character adjustments were still up-to-date.
• Added Skill Point data and context to all the Legendary Class Mods
• Minor tweak to the Vault Hunter image pages
• Added a bunch of Tips & Tricks to gear
• Reworked a few gear pages
• Enhanced a bunch of posts with small details.
• I prepared a bunch of content that I’m rolling out in the next couple of months. I took this time now as I will likely be focusing on Borderlands 4 more and more as we get closer to its release.
