Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is a Borderlands spin-off game. While it goes its own way it is built upon the foundation that the Borderlands franchise brought to the genre. One of the staple things you could do in Borderlands is spending your money on slot machines. These were fun little things to play around with however, you actually have a chance of getting amazing stuff. Slot Machines were traditionally found in Moxxi’s bar. With the release of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, fans were already surprised that Moxxi and her bar were replaced by Izzy’s Fizzies but it also left us with another question.
There aren’t any slot machines in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands to use. This is might be due to the fact that Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is rated T for Teen. While Slot Machines might look like a fun mini-game, it could actually be seen as promoting gambling towards minors.
Tiny Tina’s Slot Machines
You might be asking yourself; “But what about Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep, that game does have slot machines?” That’s definitely true, however, that was developed as a Borderlands game with a mature audience in mind. The original Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep DLC is rated as M for Mature, and here comes the shocker, the “One-Shot Adventure” is rated T for Teen but comes with a disclaimer for simulated gambling.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands was developed with a different audience in mind and Wonderlands and Assault on Dragon Keep have more differences. Randy Pitchford has been very vocal about predatorial business practices. Gambling can be seen as just that and because you have to nurture the next generation you should be a good influence.
