Tiny Tina Casted
Ariana Greenblatt is cast to play Tiny Tina in the upcoming Borderlands Movie. Tiny Tina is the unstable 13-year-old explosive expert that made her first appearance in the video game Borderlands 2. This leads me to believe that the Borderlands Movie isn’t a direct retelling of the first game. While Randy Pitchford has mentioned in the past that the movie wouldn’t be a direct copy of the game but rather taking elements from the games and create its own universe with the characters we know and love.
Ariana Greenblatt started her career at the age of 6 and she has been busy. She has been named ‘One to Watch’ on THR’s 2019 Young Hollywood list. You might know her from her role as Young Gamora in Avengers: Infinity War. But she has also done stuff for Disney and Nickelodeon.
Ariana is a spectacular new talent in cinema, she has already worked with many of my close collaborators and everyone raves about her. She blew us all away in her audition, and I cannot wait to see her bring the wild, insane and unpredictable Tiny Tina to the big screen. She’s going to blow up on screen like one of Tina’s grenades. Ashly Burch OG Tiny
Ashly Burch is the original voice for Tiny Tina in the games. Her Brother was hired to be the writer for Borderlands 2 back in the day. When he wrote Tiny Tina into the game, she was inspired by the web series, Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin’?, and their high school friend. Ashly Burch kicked ass during the auditions and got the role. Gearbox Software even brought back Ashly for Borderlands 3 and figure out how Tiny Tina would have grown up.
The first character I ever voiced, written by my brother, inspired by our weird web series and our high school friend Christina, is now going to be in a multi-million dollar movie. Life is weird! Congratulations, @ArianaG!
