The Claptastic Voyage DLC not only brings a butt load of Legendary loot to Borderlands the Pre-Sequel, it also brings a new weapon rarity that known as Glitched Gear. You can recognize these weapons by their pink gun card color. Whenever you reload a glitched weapon there is a chance that they will glitch out and get a special effect. Now you know how to trigger the effect, but how do you know what glitched ability you will receive. Well on every glitched gun card will be a error code that will look something like this:
Error Code: O0L0M4A4
This code will determine what effect you will be granted and how often they will concur.
Glitch Effects
Let’s dive deeper into these pink weapons within the Pre-Sequel, there are 4 different type of glitches. You can recognize them as your weapon of choice will have a binary code running on them. Each glitch having there own color: Red, Yellow,Green & Blue. As we look at the error code you can see what type of glitch the weapon will have and how often it will be triggered. As the first letter tells the Glitch and the number will tell the effect chance. 1 being to lowest and 4 the highest effect chance . The Blue Glitch is the only one that can go up to 5. If there is a 0 (Zero) this Glitch won’t be triggered.
- O = Red
- L = Yellow
- M = Green
- A = Blue
Red Glitch
This will give your weapon a massive damage increase (x5) but will decrease your fire rate and will knock you back. Also the cost of your shot will increase by +1 bullet per shot.
Yellow Glitch
This will give you a massive increase in your fire rate. Also you have the chance that ammo will be put back into your clip like “the Butcher” did in Borderlands 2.
Green Glitch
This will turn your weapon into a shotgun. It reduces you accuracy but it will up your pellet count up to 7.
Blue Glitch
This will give you a AMP effect. It will increase your firepower, only at the cost of a portion of your shield. The upside is that you don’t have to wait for your shield to fully recharge. ~50% amp on every shot.
