Charity Event

The New York Videogame Critics Circle is a 501(c)3 non-profit, arts-oriented multicultural organization of 40 journalists. We’re dedicated to long-term mentoring of students between the ages of 13 & 18, offering college scholarships and paid internships, & doing community outreach, especially in communities in low-income areas like the Bronx & Lower East Side. We also mentor older adults in the area of technology and hold workshops at the NY Public Library. We help students get jobs in games & journalism. Our 10th Annual New York Game Awards event with former Nintendo America president Reggie Fils-Aimé and Circle founder journalist-author Harold Goldberg on 1/26/21 is our annual fundraiser.

Here’s a recent Washington Post article on their fundraising efforts and Reggie Fils-Aime’s involvement.

I’m partnering with 2K to help raise money for this cause and any donation you can make is greatly appreciated. 2K will match all donations up to $10,000. Our goal is to collectively raise $20,000 to benefit underprivileged students and help them get valuable mentoring. You can donate via Tiltify: https://donate.tiltify.com/new-york-videogame-critics-circle
