I’m ranking every legendary weapon in Borderlands 2 in this article so that you know what the strongest weapons in the game are. That way, you know which loot you should be farming and which ones you can dismiss. S-Tier items are undoubtedly the best of the best in Borderlands 2, however, some of the lower-placed legendary items still have great mileage if you use them the correct way. So if you play a Vault Hunter that specialized around a certain weapon type and you have a good build going on, you can still wreck.

Weapon Tier List
S-Tier
These are the very best legendary weapon in Borderlands 2. They are a must for any Vault Hunter and the best in their class.
A-Tier
These are the top legendary items in Borderlands 2 but are rivaled by some other weapons in the game. That said, they belong to the best in their class.

These are great legendary items, however, there are other weapons in Borderlands 2 that outperform these. That said, they are still great items to have in your arsenal.

These legendary items are okay but are held back by certain aspects. Some of them do have a purpose as they are good at the thing they do but overall, there are better items in Borderlands 2.

Conclusion
Some weapons rank lower if you judge them purely on their damage output but are still very fun to use. I find the Mongol very entertaining but there are stronger Rocket Launchers. If you need a good weapon to Slag enemies, the Slagga is actually very good but most End Game builds will rock the Grog Nozzle – a quest item that has to be turned in but some never did.
