BORDERLANDS 2 VR PATCH: JANUARY 29, 2020

Gearbox Software released a new patch for Borderlands 2 VR. This update adds support for the Valve Index headset as well as some community-requested quality-of-life improvements.

Gearbox has been all about supporting as many VR options as possible to let you play the way you want. One of the things the community gave feedback on was the framerate of the scope. Instead of zooming in with the VR headset, there appears a pop-up window that shows the zoomed-in location. However, the framerate of this picture-in-picture screen was always a bit laggy. Now you can set the framerate of this window for an optimal experience. It’s great to see Gearbox Software still supporting this project.

Official Index Support

  • BL2VR now supports the Index headset!
  • Added Index controller meshes, and in-game controller layouts and created a new “2K Knuckles Config” Index Binding as the default option for Knuckles controllers.

Motion controller-based movement

  • Added an option in-game to change between head vs. MOVER-based movement.

Scope Framerate Option

  • Added an option to choose between 30, 60, 90, and 120 FPS for the scope window.
