Borderlands 3 has two season passes, in this review, I’ll be going over the first season pass. I’m going to tell you what you are getting and if the content is any good and worth your well-earned money.
Table of contents
Season Pass Content
The first season pass contains 4 Story Campaigns that each will provide you with at least 6 hours of entertainment.
Each DLC adds a new planet or space station to explore. They all provide a dozen big locations with a ton of side missions.
Moxxi’s Heist on Handsome Jackpot
The Handsome Jackpot takes place in a space casino where you have to help Moxxi get back at an old friend. If you are a fan of Borderlands 2 and think Handsome Jack is awesome then you are really going to enjoy this DLC.
I had a lot of fun playing Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot. It’s always great to see Gearbox just have fun with their games and create something like this. The story was satisfying and they introduced some new stuff. There weren’t a lot of armored enemies in the main game, so having those loader bots was great.
If you are a Zane player, you can get the BEST class mod in the game in this DLC.
Guns, Love, and Tentacles: The Marriage of Wainwright & Hammerlock
Guns, LOVE, and Tentacles is an AMAZING DLC. While the title of this story campaign add-on focuses on the marriage of Wainwright and Hammerlock, it has a lot more to offer.
This DLC will take you to the lodge on Xylourgos where apparently the whole town is cursed. It’s up to you to make sure the wedding goes as planned but soon things take a turn and you unravel the mysteries this place holds.
Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption
Borderlands 3: Bounty of Blood is a great DLC that breaks some of its own series own conventions and adds new game(play) mechanics that can push the franchise as a whole further.
This DLC is the blueprint you want for every Borderlands game or DLC. Great story, Dedicated Drops, and Something New.
Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck
The Fantastic Fustercluck is a mind trip that takes your emotions to various places. Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck was developed during COVID. Therefore, this Story Campaign Add-on is a bit shorter than the previous DLCs it is still very good.
When you purchase the Borderlands 3 Season Pass you will also get a few additional items. These are nice to have but not something you should be obsessed about.
• Butt Stallion weapon skin
• Butt Stallion weapon trinket
• Butt Stallion grenade mod
Should you buy the Borderlands 3 Season Pass?
Borderlands 3’s first Season Pass is definitely worth the money. You get 4 awesome story campaigns that all feel unique. During your quests, Gearbox introduces new characters while you tag along with fan favorites.
Each DLC offers a solid 6-hour experience and then you can start farming all the cool gear Gearbox Software has put in these add-ons.
