It is currently not stated which resolutions and quality profiles Gearbox Software is targeting with these specifications for Borderlands 4. Looking back at the Borderlands 3 System Requirements, they used the ‘HIGH’ profile in their recommendations. I assume the minimum system requirements are targeted at a 1080p resolution.
Randy Pitchford has stated they are aiming for a 60fps experience with Borderlands 4.
The minimum system requirements fall in line with Immortals of Aveum requirements, a game that was pushing new Unreal Engine 5 tech at the time (2023). Borderlands 4 is also taking advantage of Unreal Engine 5.
