Gearbox Entertainment has partnered with Genvid Entertainment and announced at Comic-Con that they are working on a new Borderlands interactive streaming series called “Borderlands EchoVision Live”.
Eight wannabe Vault Hunters fork over their hard-earned cash for a safely guided tour of Eden-6 – all the excitement with none of the danger! What could possibly go wrong?
Turns out a lot.
Designed from the ground-up with massive community involvement at the core of the experience, global participants will directly impact how this Borderlands adventure unfolds.
Borderlands EchoVision Live
They haven’t released any details but Genvid is community-driven interactive entertainment. They bring Massively Interactive Live Events to audiences worldwide. Looking at their other work this looks like an interactive Netflix series, kinda like New Tales From The Borderlands but rather than you having the moment-to-moment dialogue choices, the community can determine the episode cliffhanger. But that’s what I understand from the concept of their projects.
No release window was announced at the time of writing but I’ll keep you informed once they do.
UPDATE: Some time has passed and this is what I could figure out about Borderlands Echovision Live.
