Gearbox Software added their famous Golden Skeleton Chest to the Enhanced version of Borderlands Game of the Year Edition (aka a remaster of the Original Borderlands Game). You can redeem the SHiFT Codes that are listed below to obtain Golden Skeleton Keys.
You can redeem these SHiFT Codes in the Game, Official Borderlands Site, or on the SHiFT Site. If done correctly they will show up in your inventory.
You can find the Golden Chest in Fyrestone and use your Golden Keys on it. The chest provides you with high-quality loot with the chance of giving Legendary Loot!
SHiFT Codes are loyalty rewards for the Borderlands community and new codes are added on a frequent basis so check back if you need a new batch of Golden Keys.

How to Redeem Borderlands GOTY Enhanced SHiFT Codes
There are 3 ways you can redeem SHiFT Codes
- In-Game
- SHiFT Website
- Borderlands website
While the Borderlands website itself is pretty popular for redeeming codes due to the VIP Codes. However, the site sometimes has some hiccups. So it’s possible you are not able to redeem a new code or it mentions you don’t have “platform x” linked to your account. If that’s the case try the SHiFT site as it’s more stable but redeeming codes in-game is the safest bet.
There is always the possibility that an individual code gives issues with your account. This could be a one-time thing. If you keep encountering these or some other sort of issues there might be a solution to your problem in the knowledge base or you can submit a ticket.
