The production design and the art direction alone is so close to the game. You can’t believe they put this much love and attention into the details. I came in with my arms crossed like, ‘You better do it right because I’m here to call bullsh*t.’ And it’s like, they went hard. They really meant it. Even down to our costumes, just getting the colors of everything right. There’s a lot of love that went into the production. And then a lot of people from Gearbox got to be there so the thing that’s wonderful is when you get to see a dev walk around and pick up something that they created digitally? I mean, come on. That’s the kind of really special stuff that I just love watching come to fruition.
Janina Gavankar – Commander Knoxx
It’s bonkers. It is badonkadonk bonkers, it is incredible what they have done visually and creatively, from set design, costume design, camera design, a great script, and an eclectic but very fun, wonderful family of actors, leading it all off with Cate Blanchett, who was beyond – and so committed and dedicated to this work. I think you are going to be so happy. But it’s bonkers. It is nutty mcnutty. It is definitely nutty mcnutty.
Jamie Lee Curtis – Tannis
The fanbase that follows the game is already huge and unreal, but I don’t think they even have a clear understanding of how close we’re coming to the game. It looks like the game. It’s unbelievable, truly unbelievable.
Kevin Hart – Roland
I mean it’s so dark and so witty and so whimsical as well. It’s so in on the joke and kind of like impudent. There’s a ‘I don’t give a damn’ attitude to the game, and that’s what we rescued and put into the movie so I’m very excited for the fans of the game to see it and see how respectful we were to the tone of the game.
Edgar Ramirez – Atlas
The Borderlands Movie is set to be released later in 2022
