That’s a Wrap
After four months of shooting the Borderlands Movie, the principal photography has officially wrapped. Now there is still a long road of post-production to be done. This is where they take all the footage and edit it into a cohesive story. Then they need to add sound effects, music, visual effect, do the sound mix, color correction, and graphics.
Hopefully, we will get a preview trailer soon and get a good look at the style of the movie. However, the Borderlands Movie is set to release somewhere in 2022.
The Journey
- The Borderlands Movie was announced in 2015 with Lionsgate developing the project with Ari and Avi Arad of Arad Productions producing.
- In February 2020, Eli Roth was attached to direct the film from a screenplay written by Craig Mazin, with Erik Feig joining as a producer through his production company Picturestart.
- The Movie Cast was announced in late 2020 and early 2021.
- Filming officially started on April 1, 2021, in Hungary and wrapped on June 22.
