Hey and welcome to another Channel Update. In these blogs, I want to give you an update on what has been going on in my life and on the website as I strive to create a kickass resource for you.
Personal
- Celebrated Saint Nicholas. This is kinda the Dutch Santa but his arrival by steamboat is broadcast live on national television. A daily TV show airs a week before his arrival and St Nick’s helpers always run into trouble. There is this 3-week adventure to save St Nick’s birthday and successfully deliver the kids’ presents. The American Santa stems from our Saint Nicholas event but has been reworked into what it is.
- The family and I participated in a Light Tour where we walked 6 km at the seaside. There is a theme each year and you will encounter various colorful glowing creations throughout the hike. Things will be decorated with lights and there will be campfires on the beach.
- I somehow picked up elbow bursitis, so it became glowing hot, painful, and swollen. Using 1 arm became the default for a while as bending my arm was a no-go. This occurred in the week leading up to the Game Awards and slowed down my (Borderlands 4) content creation. 3 weeks later; I’m able to use my arm again but my elbow still hurts a bit.
Website
- Updated software backend of the current website and the new site.
- MentalMars V4: I had an idea of how to implement a sidebar menu but encountered several issues, therefore, I went back to the old HUB menu structure that the current site uses. I might have some ideas on how to fix the issues but I currently don’t have the time to invest into that.
Borderlands 4
Borderlands 4 news started to roll in leading to a bunch of new content.

- Saw a bunch of Theories about the new Siren but I have my own thoughts about the Emily Swan Theories.
- Borderlands 4 will be utilizing Unreal Engine 5

I stopped making YouTube videos around the time my second son was born as I couldn’t dedicate the time. Making YouTube videos has been something I looked up against and have been struggling to make for the past few years. Recording the voiceover has been such a hurdle for me and my least favorite part of content creation. At the start of this year, I wanted to get back into it and started doing the Black Market Location Guide videos but they have been a chore. With the release of the Borderlands 4 reveal trailer, I have found a groove and produced several videos.

Borderlands 3
I created cornerstone pages for each of the Borderlands 3 DLCs because information about them was scattered over multiple news posts. If you were following the news around at the time when they were being promoted, the news articles covered all the latest facts but if you want to learn about them these days then having 5 news articles per DLC isn’t really helpful.
I also updated several guides and looking to enhance more.

- New Borderlands 3 Designer’s Cut Overview Page (updated all internal links mentioning this DLC)

- Updated Proving Grounds Guide with True Trials details (also created an infographic)
- Updated 13 Best Legendary Weapons in Borderlands 3
- Updated: How to Beat Wotan the Invincible in Borderlands 3
- Updated: How to select your Character in Borderlands 3 with the new Max Level Character details and added basic Vault Hunter info to help new players choose a character.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands
- Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands 2 Cancellation Update
- I did a few Chaos Chamber Featured Run Breakdowns but then things fell off because of my injury and all the Borderlands 4 news.
- Keeping up with SHiFT Codes and Loot Room updates.

- Reborn is still in development.
- Borderlands 1, 2, TPS:
- No updates; but I would love to create more guides for these classic games as they are still being played, however, the focus is currently on the new games.
