My Reactions

  • 09:00 – SHOCKER! Matt is not a fan of Westerns?!
  • 11:20 – Interesting to hear that they wanted to create a new major Borderlands character with Rose. Juno comes as an afterthought in Matt’s sentence but fans have been curious about getting to spend more time with Rose.
  • 13:30 – Eden-5 and Eden-Prime were considered as the planet instead of Gehanna.
  • 14:00 – Dr. Slagtooth as the villain instead of Rose. Would we have also gotten more Dr.Zed references if that happened? Devil Riders were the Slagtooth gang.
  • 14:10 – Interesting to hear about the tone of Borderlands 1 and Borderlands 2 and how that impacted Bounty of Blood. I wonder how that impacts future games.
  • 16:10 – If I remember correctly, Bounty of Blood was Raison Varner’s last work for Gearbox Software.
  • 20:30 – Great to see Matt Cox reexperiencing the creation of Bounty of Blood during this conversation.
  • 25:00 – I wonder if we will see more Metroidvania elements in Borderlands 4.
  • 34:10 – I didn’t expect to meet the narrator in Bounty of Blood because the main game has Marcus narrating the intro but it’s not like he ends the story as well.

  • 42:40 – It is always amazing to see how some audio effects are being made with common household stuff.
