Get ready for the next hunt, because Evolve is getting an open beta on the Xbox One. Starting January 15th till the 17th you will be able to play the open beta!
During this time frame, you will get exclusive access to the recently announced game mode Evacuation. Evacuation is Evolve’s dynamic campaign where players will battle each other 5 times and the outcome of every battle will affect the next confrontation.
Available content in the Evolve Open Beta
During the Open beta, you will be able to play Hunt, the classic Evolve game mode. The two monsters you will be able to choose from are the Goliath and the Kraken.
The Wraith is not present at this time because it’s the hardest monster to play with. Also in the final game, you will first have to master the Goliath and the Kraken before you unlock the Wraith.
The playable hunters are Markov, Maggie, Val, Hank, Hyde, Griffin, Lazarus, and Bucket. You will be able to play all 12 maps that will be present at the launch of the game. That are 8 more maps for your enjoyment than during the Big Alpha!
On January 17th Evolve’s dynamic campaign Evacuation will be playable. All 12 maps will be connected and all game modes, hunt, nest, rescue & defend will be featured in this battle.
For more information about this game mode, check the link above. Also, all Hunters and Monsters you unlock during the Xbox One Open Beta will carry over to your retail version of Evolve when the game launches!
If you pre-purchase Evolve on Xbox One before or during the Xbox One Open Beta, you get exclusive instant access to Wraith, Parnell, Abe, Caira, and Cabot during the entire beta. Better yet, pre-purchasing on Xbox One guarantees that these characters are instantly unlocked when you pick up the final game which launches on February 10th.
Offline play in the Beta?
As the final retail version of Evolve will feature an offline mode, the purpose of this beta is to stress test the multiplayer servers and balance the game. So no offline mode will be available while the Open Beta lasts.
