Farming Frenzy Mini-Event
Starting from January 16th till January 30rd, 2020, there will be a Farming Frenzy event in Borderlands 3. During the 2 weeks of this event, you will be able to get a lot of legendary loot. This is because Gearbox Software will increase the legendary loot drop rates and make rare enemy spawns guaranteed. So this is your chance to score those legendary items that you were still missing or want an anointed version of because Gearbox also increased the chance of getting an anointed version of the weapons. So start farming those respawnable bosses and named enemies.
Note: The Official Borderlands Site mentions; “Increased Rare Enemy Spawns”. But the Press Release mentions; “Guaranteed Rare Enemy Spawns”. I’m contacting 2K for conformation.
Hotfix Info
The Farming Frenzy mini-event will commence on all platforms via a hotfix on Thursday, January 16 at 9:00 AM PST and will conclude when another hotfix deploys on Thursday, January 30 at 8:59 AM PST. That’s the same timeframe as the scaling Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite event, which will be active on PlayStation®4, Xbox One, and PC where the Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite is available. To apply hotfixes, simply wait at the main menu until you see a “Hotfixes Applied” sign appear on the post behind your Vault Hunter.
