Aaron Berg who wrote the script for Section 6 and the upcoming G.I. Joe 3 movie now works on the script for the Borderlands Movie. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Aaron Berg’s script will be a Mad Max-esque take on Gearbox Software’s franchise. THR’s source also assures that the Borderlands film will be an “edgy, R-rated take” on the M-rated, gun-heavy games.
The film is being produced by father-son duo Avi and Ari Arad, who has worked on such comic book film adaptations as Iron Man, Spider-Man, and X-Men, an experience that could help them with adapting a stylized property such as Borderlands.
