Get ready for Borderlands Swag

You probably know that Gearbox has its own webshop filled with awesome Borderlands merchandise. But they are not stopping there because Gearbox Software and 2K Games have partnered up with a lot of parties to get you some sweet sweet loot. The is a multi-category program in place that will feature a vast range of toys & collectibles; apparel and accessory collections; home goods; videogame accessories; publishing; and seasonal costumes as well as cosplay accessories.

This is the largest roster of licensed products for a brand in both Gearbox’s and 2K’s history, We’re always looking to continue to build upon the Borderlands franchise, this list of great partners is just the beginning of what’s to come.

Sean Haran, Vice President of Business Development for Gearbox Software

For all of us at Gearbox, this year is all about Borderlands, Our game development team crafts every aspect of the game with love and attention – from the distinctive hand-inked art to the stories of our characters. We are very excited to have found partners who are dedicated to creating products with just as much passion, creativity, and attention to detail.

My Thoughts

From the looks of these partners, there seems to be a wide range of Borderlands 3 merch we can expect. With that, I don’t just mean the different variety of products but also the price range. In the Toy section, I see partners that often create items that list for $15.- but there are also partners that aim for the $50.- price range. If you look at Chronicle Collectibles you can expect $300.- high-end collectibles. The same goes for the Apparel section, You have your Bioworld that creates awesome affordable gamer t-shirts and hoodies. But then you also have Volante Design who have these high-end designer clothes.

Personally, I’m also looking forward to the publishing partner. When  I took a look at Insight Editions’ portfolio I was amazed by the artbooks that they have done. The Art team over at Gearbox always creates such awesome pieces, I don’t mind snatching one of those books. It wouldn’t surprise me if there is also going to be a Borderlands artbook or strategy book down the line.
