A brand new trailer for Immortals of Aveum dropped at Summer Game Fest. During the trailer, we see how the fight against Sandrakk in the Everwar continues in a brand-new location.
In previous trailers, we have seen fallen giants in the background. These have always made me wonder what has been going on in the world of Aveum. In this trailer, we get a glimpse of them and they turn out to be colossal mechanical constructs.
This mission presented in this trailer, starts off cinematic with an over-the-top event that throws you into the action. This kinda lashes onto the origin story of the studio and the idea of Immortals starting with the vision of Call of Duty with magic as that game also applied these types of cinematics in their campaign missions.
Jak needs to get to the control room while airships are attacking the giant Mech. As Jak makes his way up he maneuvers using his leash spell, eliminates enemies using his ultimate Immolate and Fury spells, and blasts away while switching between all 3 colors of magic.
The gameplay shown makes the game look easy but I heard folks were overwhelmed during the hands-on preview event.

- [2:07] A Green Fury spell called Torrent gets cast. A volley of homing projectiles will strike the enemies.
- [2:56] The Disrupt spell gets used which unleashes a beam that can disorient enemies.
- [2:59] Jak using his lash to grab onto the Red Magic leyline. This is an interesting way of moving around the world.
Immortals of Aveum will launch worldwide on August 22nd, 2023. The game is being developed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on EA App, Steam, and Epic Game Store. You can find more detail in the FAQ section.
