My Predictions
Well while the description mentions “never-before-seen reveals, exclusives, and surprises” this has been a default description Gearbox has been using for years. They added Gearbox Publishing this year as that is a new thing they are doing these days.
I expect that they will acknowledge the need for Borderlands 3 but won’t make any big reveals. I do think they will address their Publishing projects; ‘Fortnite‘ & ‘We Happy Few’. I think they might explain that the publishing department is a different team and this is not draining resources of the BIG Project (Borderlands 3). I believe there is still a patch in development for Battleborn, however, I haven’t heard from that in a while. So they could be talking a bit about that assuring that they take care of their games.
Recently Gearbox Software announced that they are developing a small indie title called Project 1v1. It is known that there will be a closed technical test in late summer. So they probably will be talking about this project and will invite everyone in the room to check it out. Project 1v1 could function as a foundation to future projects.
Lastly, there will be a magic trick by Randy Pitchford and occasionally they will also do a little (Borderlands) sketch, however, because I think they will need the time to focus on those other new projects they will skip the sketch this time.
