Is Butt Stallion a Pet in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands?

The Royal Highness Herself

In the Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Announcement trailer we saw a glimpse of Butt Stallion, the diamond pony that jumped into the battle and saved the day. While Gearbox Software didn’t give any details about her, it does give some food for thought.

Everyone is a Beastmaster

In TTWL you can create your own multi-class character. One of the classes you have in Borderlands 3 is the pet class. As FL4K, you are able to choose one of their beasts.

It would be cool if Butt Stallion was one of the creatures you were able to obtain. Pets could be placed in one of the skill trees. Butt Stallion would probably be further down the skill tree. However, what is Gearbox Software wants to shake up how we build out our character again and take a different route?

It’s like Magic

What if Gearbox Software made it so that pets are available through magic spells. This would make every character in TTWL like Zane from Borderlands 3. You would have the ability to equip two action skills but then you have to sacrifice your grenade mod slot. In Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands grenades are replaced by magic spells.

Creative Director, Matt Cox, did mention that the magic spells act like skills in the game. It would be cool if you can summon creatures by casting magic spells. Kinda like in Harry Potter having your own Patronus.

Pets would then be able to be part of the loot system giving you way more possibilities. You can find different pets along your journey and you would need to obtain new ones as their level falls behind.

A pet Dragon would be able to be obtained in multiple elements. Bosses could also drop legendary creature spells, Butt Stallion, Blood Wing, Kevin, or the handsome sorcerer’s pet dragon could be one of them.

Let me know do you want to summon various pets like magic spells or do you want one in your skill tree and be able to unlock additional skills for it, as we did in Borderlands 3?
