Immortals of Aveum is the first game by Ascendant Studios. While the idea for this game originated from Call of Duty, its 25-hour story campaign doesn’t reflect that as those story modes are usually only a few hours. This has made folks wonder if Immortals of Aveum is an Open World game because it’s clearly not a Call of Duty Clone.
Immortals of Aveum does not feature an Open World. The game has segmented maps that do offer large areas for you to explore Metroidvania-style. You can follow a main path but can also return and discover new sections of the map as you obtain new abilities.
Immortals of Aveum is a first-person shooter game, however, instead of having guns you use magic spells. Ascendant Studios wants to deliver cinematic missions that tell an epic story but also provide some humor to balance out the drama.
We have a big variety of level sizes—some that are large and open-ended and others that are more focused. A couple of our levels are the equivalent of 25 or 30 kilometers in length! That’s just the playable space!
