Miyamoto has said some interesting stuff during a interview with ‘The Associated Press‘ about the future of Mario and potential next-gen Nintendo console.
From the beginning people have always compared Mario with Mickey Mouse. Miyamoto always had seen Mickey evolve along the way with every advancement in the animation industry. We could follow every step of him growing. Miyamoto also wanted Mario to be that character in the digital world. With every evolution in the gaming industry Mario will be part of a new era. So possibly Mario will change his appearance or role with a new hardware system in the future.
For next year Nintendo has a strong line up and the focus is on Wii U. But Nintendo has always teams that work on new idea’s and new hardware systems.
