Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot
Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot is the 1st campaign add-on for Borderlands 3. This DLC got revealed on the 3rd episode of the Borderlands show where Greg Miller, Fran Mirabella, and Randy Pitchford talk about pulling off the ultimate casino heist. In this DLC Moxxi is assembling a crew, meaning you, to plunder a derelict space station casino called the Handsome Jackpot. Back in the days of Borderlands 1, Miss Moxxi and Handsome Jack used to be a couple. Jack stole Moxxi’s plans for a space casino and now since he is no longer around, Moxxi is taking back what was meant to be hers.

The Return of Hyperion
The cool thing with this campaign add-on is that it brings back a fan-favorite character. We see multiple statues and holograms of Handsome Jack and that the DLC is clearly Hyperion themed. While it’s confirmed that Handsome Jack is super dead, there is always the potential that we will encounter his body double, Timothy Lawrence. Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot looks to be pure fan-service. Hyperion and Handsome Jack were a mayor part of Borderlands 2 and this seems to hit all those nostalgic feels. Gearbox Software is bringing back the Hyperion (loader)bots, which were late-game enemies in Borderlands 2. Corrosive weapons were a necessity back in the day. It wouldn’t surprise me we will be needing them again. The upper decks are all neon and fortune, while the lower decks are full of crap and waste. It’s great that Gearbox shows the other side of the coin.
