The initial director of the Borderlands Movie, Eli Roth, has passed on the scepter to Tim Miller to take charge of the reshoots. Rumors said that Eli Roth was fired from the project but that’s not the case as he is simply occupied with another movie.
Reshoots are often planned into the production of big movies to create the best story possible. Sometimes it’s because some scenes don’t match up other times it’s due to feedback from test screenings.
Tim Miller made his debut as a director with a little movie called DEADPOOL. After that, he also directed Terminator: Dark Fate and was an Executive Producer on both Sonic Movies.
Tim Miller co-founded Blur Studio in 1995, a visual effects, animation, and design company with David Stinnett and Cat Chapman. This studio is responsible for a bunch of really cool video game cinematics, and movie effects, but also produces the series Love, Dead, and Robots.
