New Gearbox Loot Store Launched

Gearbox Loot launched their new online store today! You can purchase new Borderlands and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands merchandise. Risk of Rain, Homeworld, and Duke Nukem products are stated to be coming in the future.

My Post-Launch Perspective

The Loot Store launched earlier than I expected. I had hoped to see more items listed. There are some new cool items but (some of) those were already available on other sites. Hopefully, this was a soft launch and they add more merch soon.

I would still love to see Battleborn merch on the official Gearbox Loot Store, however, the future doesn’t look bright at the moment as the game isn’t listed while others are but don’t have any items yet.

Gearbox Entertainment is relaunching its merch shop as they have been sharing a loading bar on their social media accounts. By calculating the time between the posts and the progression on the loading bar, I have noticed that the countdown suggests that the new Gearbox Loot Store will be available later this week.

My Pre-Launch Perspective

The Gearbox Loot Store has been closed for a few months now and predates the Take Two acquisition by 2 weeks. It is currently unclear if Gearbox Loot will have some integration with the 2K Store but I guess we will find out later this week.

Gearbox Loot has teased that they will have awesome new loot in store for us once their new shop launches. I assume it is likely that they will have new merch that ties in with the upcoming Borderlands Movie but there will be Borderlands Merch. I wonder if things like; Borderlands Debt or Alive and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Land of Giants novels will also be available on there.

I don’t expect Battleborn Merch but Homeworld and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will definitely be on there. Duke Nukem might also have some merch. While we haven’t gotten a new Duke Nukem game in a while the franchise has a big audience to tap into.
