New Tales From The Borderlands is a narrative story-driven game by Gearbox Software where your choices decide how the adventure unravels. You will decide the fate of three underdogs on the worst day of their lives as they face down a planetary invasion, vicious vault monster, and cold-hearted capitalist.
When you pre-order New Tales From The Borderlands you will receive a few additional in-game goodies. These are cosmetics, currency, and a special Vaultlander.
Adventure Capital Pack
Cosmetics for Anu, Octavio, and Fran.
You will receive 1 skin of each of the main characters in New Tales From The Borderlands. These are Anu, Octavio, and Fran.
Skins are always a hot collector’s item in the Borderlands community. These skins color these loveable underdogs in a bronze/gold theme. There seem to be a few blue highlights notably in Anu’s visor and Fran’s hoverchair.
Gold Skins are cool but I think they are also kinda your low-hanging fruit. I believe Pre-Order bonuses should get you excited to pick up the game and create FOMO. I feel like skins like these are a bit plain and low-budget, which makes sense because they are free. However, they could make them more appealing.
10,000 in-game Currency
You will also receive $10,000 in in-game currency.
Gearbox Software nor 2K Games have confirmed what you can actually purchase with this money. However, looking at the original Tales From The Borderlands. There you could purchase new clothing and accessories for your characters. I expect this also to be the case in New Tales From The Borderlands.
Currency can only be obtained by simply playing the game and not through any microtransactions.
In-Game FL4K Vaultlander
When you pre-order New Tales From The Borderlands you will also receive an FL4K Vaultlander. This is a special figurine that you can use during the game’s Vaultlander battles.
Each figurine comes with its own stats and special ability. I got a Full Vaultlander Guide if you want to learn more about that.
Personally, I find the Vaultlanders very cool. They are like your pokemon battles but Borderlands style. I’ll definitely be collecting these throughout the game.
