New Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Blightcaller Class Revealed

Blightcaller class - Tiny Tina's Wonderlands

Gearbox Software is adding a 7th class to Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands called the Blightcaller. This new playable class is part of PLC4, Shattering Spectreglass, which will release soonish. But before that comes we get our first glimpse of the Blightcaller class so that we can theory craft fun and powerful builds.

Blightcaller’s Abilities

Whisper of Rot is the Blightcaller’s unique class feat. This increases your elemental damage for a short duration. You can stack this effect several times whenever you apply an elemental DoT to an enemy. This class feat could amplify your Stabbomancer DoT build.

Plaguestorm is the Blightcaller’s first action skill. This is great to get those elemental effects rolling as it creates a “maelstrom of noxious fumes” aka “farts” dealing poison damage. Enemies that remain in the gas cloud will get hit by elemental bolts. These charges scale with the amount of non-ability damage you deal, so let math be your guide (I’m looking at you Lazy Data & Quag).

Bog Totem is the Blightcaller’s second action skill. This companion works like a stationary turret as you summon a root from the ground. The Bog Totem will then drain the souls from the soil underneath and send them towards your enemies. These spirits will detonate on impact and deal elemental damage based on the weapon you are currently holding. With every kill, you can extend the Bog Totum’s duration.

Blightcaller’s Skills

Flawless Edge gives you increased damage proportional to how full your Ward is. This pairs perfectly with the Wraithmail Kill Skill that restores a portion of your Ward each time you eliminate an enemy. The Wraithmail Kill Skill could help you Class Cannon Spellshots to keep your defenses up.

Amped Up furthers the Blightcaller’s Ward-based strengths, giving you a stackable buff to your movement speed and Ward regeneration whenever you apply a Lightning Status Effect. The Blightcaller skill tree has specific passives for every elemental damage type, so you can diversify if you don’t want to focus solely on Poison. This is very useful if you want to maximize your elemental damage, definitely if you are playing on Intense difficulty.

Spirit Swarm has the chance to summon a Companion cloud of angered apparitions any time you apply a Status Effect; you can let it run rampant or ping enemies to sic the Spirit Swarm on specific targets. If you opt for a Multiclass build using another Companion class (Clawbringer, Graveborn, or Spore Warden) plus a Blightcaller using Bog Totem and Spirit Swarm, you can have a whopping three Companions aiding you at the same time!
