Redfall will be available on May 2, 2023, on Xbox Series X|S and PC. To celebrate this event, Arkane Studios and Bethesda Softworks have put out this awesome trailer.
What is Redfall
Redfall is a story-driven FPS that you can play the game solo or co-op with up to 4 players. There are four heroes to choose from and they all have their own unique personalities, skills, and abilities. Redfall is an open-world game that takes place in a small town that is overtaken by vampires. It is up to you to investigate the source and restore the town to its former glory.
This all sounds a lot like some of the core Borderlands concepts, however, Redfall isn’t a “Leroy Jenkins” type of game where you mindlessly run into combat. Redfall stays true to the Arkane DNA with all its systems.
The Heroes
There are 4 playable characters at launch. You can choose from Devinder is a cryptozoologist and aspiring inventor and he’s on a mission to prove himself. Jacob is an ex-military sharpshooter turned private contractor, however, due to the strange happenings that happened in Redfall have left him with a mysterious vampiric eye and a spectral raven.
Layla is a biomedical engineering student who volunteered for a medical trial where something went very wrong. Remi is a brilliant combat engineer who has spent her life on the frontlines and is determined to help rescue Redfall’s survivors.
