How to Redeem SHiFT Codes?
- In-Game
- If you boot up the game and reached the main menu go into the EXTRAS section. This is where you will find the SHiFT options. Upon selecting SHiFT, you are prompted by an interface that allows you to enter SHiFT Codes and check your rewards.
- SHiFT Website
- You can visit the Official SHiFT Website by Gearbox Software and redeem your SHiFT Code there. Use the ‘Code Redemption’ panel to claim your rewards.
What are SHiFT Codes?
A SHiFT Code is a unique alphanumeric string that unlocks different in-game rewards. They are commonly used for Golden Keys that let you open up a special rainbow chest that provides high-quality loot.
What if a SHiFT Code doesn’t work?
SHiFT Codes can expire, however, when they haven’t expired yet sometimes things don’t work as intended. It is possible that the SHiFT service has hiccups or a SHiFT code is buggy. Usually, you can still redeem the SHiFT Code in the game itself.
However, there is always the possibility that an individual code gives issues with your account. Golden Keys not showing up in your inventory could be a one-time thing. But if you keep encountering these problems or some other sort of issue there might be a solution to your problem in the knowledge base or you can submit a support ticket with 2K Games and they will sort it out for you. Try and describe the issue as best as you can, as this will help them resolve your issue a lot faster.
Where is the Rainbow Chest Located?
The Rainbow Chest is located in Flamerock Refuge. You can find it to the left of the Forge. You can open the Rainbow chest by using Skeleton Keys. It works similar to the Golden Chest in Borderlands. By opening it up you use 1 Skeleton Key and the chest will open up and have high-quality loot inside.

I have been waiting for keys for Tiny Tina’s assault on dragon keep. They tell me there was 1 key, I did not get a key, I have none. I paid for this game and the keys should be ready available, like the other Borderland games. I will not purchase anymore games.<till I get some !!!!!!
