Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands First Details
Gearbox Software and 2K Games just revealed Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands at the Summer Games Fest. It’s a new IP that they have trademarked last year. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands was showcased with this awesome trailer that is displayed above. After the Trailer was shown, Geoff Keighley did an interview with Ashly Burch, the voice of Tiny Tina.
The devs at GBX will probably kick me for describing it this way but if you remember the ‘Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon keep‘ DLC for Borderlands 2. Which in my opinion is one of the best DLCs ever, well Gearbox Software is bringing on steroids!!! I’m excited.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is a looter shooter in a fantasy setting. Tiny Tina, who is once again portraited by Ashly Burch, will act as your guide through an extraordinary tabletop realm. Your quest is to defeat the Dragon Lord, however, rules don’t apply in this game and everything can change on the fly. There are big names attached to the project.
The game is scheduled to release early 2022 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
It will have a story campaign and repeatable end-game content that you can play with 3 friends. Gearbox should not underestimate end game.
You can create and customize your own multiclass heroes. I wonder if the playable characters have multiple general disciplines like in Borderlands 3 or if each hero will specialize in specific things like the original Borderlands.
In Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, you will loot, shoot, slash, and cast your way through enemies! SLASH GUYS, SLASH! We can expect melee weapons broadswords in this game. I wonder how this will work on the ‘Borderlands™‘ weapon system. Will swords have different handles, lengths, charms, etc.
Yes, as seen from the trailer, there are magic spells and that one looks awesome. I wonder how these will work. Will they refill like the Borderlands 2 DLC or will we have to pick up Mana potions?
Let’s talk weapons. That gun the character in the trailer is using kinda has a Torgue design, however, the barrel is something you would find on a Vladof weapon in Borderlands. Legendary weapons can have parts that you would find at other manufacturers. That said, are the Borderlands manufacturers coming back or can we expect totally new manufacturers? That would open up a whole lot of possibilities.
