Immortals of Aveum is a first-person shooter game, however, instead of having guns you use magic spells. While the idea of Immortal of Aveum originated while working on a Call of Duty campaign mission – by replacing the helicopter with a dragon and the soldiers with battlemages – Immortals of Aveum is more than just that. You are able to explore the world of Aveum, obtain gear, and create combos with various magic spells.

The Story of Immortals of Aveum
Ascendant Studios want to deliver an epic story with Immortals of Aveum but also provides some humor to balance out the drama.
You play as Jak in Immortals of Aveum. He is an unforeseen, someone who gained the ability to wield magic later in life. Jak is unique as he is one of the few people that is able to control all 3 types of magic.
You are recruited by General Kirkan to join the Order of the Immortals – an elite group of magic-wielders – to fight in the Everwars. During this battle between the last two remaining forces, you will uncover the mysteries of Aveum’s troubled past as you fight for a better future.
Immortals of Aveum Gameplay
Immortals of Aveum is a magic shooter and while it has cinematic missions, the game actually has a couple of large, non-linear exploration spaces for you to explore.
You don’t just use magic to shoot the bad guy, you will also need to use your powers to solve puzzles. You can encounter doors that require skills that you will learn later on in the game. In that sense, there is a Metroidvania style to the game.
There are 3 types of magic – Red, Blue, and Green – and they all have their own strengths. Some are better suited for close range while others excel at long range. These are all cast from your right hand.
You can use your left hand to pull in enemies or shield yourself from enemy projectiles. Then there is a collection of powerful attacks that require both hands to cast, however, these are limited by a currency picked up on the battlefield.
