Is Borderlands 3 coming to Xbox Game Pass?
Borderlands 3 is currently not available with the Xbox Game Pass service from Microsoft. Gearbox Software nor 2K Games have made any announcements regarding adding the game to the subscription service. Borderlands 3 is currently available on the Epic Games Store, Steam, Mac, Xbox One, and Playstation 4.
Can we expect Borderlands 3 on Xbox Game Pass?
Gearbox Software and 2K Games did include Borderlands the Handsome Collection on Xbox Game Pass. This allowed you to play the HD versions of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands the Pre-Sequel through the service. I think that they will add Borderlands 3 eventually but not for the time being. They probably do this after they finished all the content that is included with the season pass. So don’t expect this to happen any time soon. When 2K Games announce Borderlands 3 for the Xbox Subscription service, I’ll update this article and let you know. However, be on the lookout for Free weekends.
Play Borderlands 3 For Free
Borderlands 3 has been available for free to play on some gaming platforms. These limited-time events give you the chance to play the game with time being the only limitation. After these free weekends, you could purchase the game and keep all the progress you made during your trial adventure.
Xbox Game Pass
Xbox Game Pass is a subscription service from Microsoft. This gives you access to ~100 games for the duration of the subscription. New Games are being added to the service on a regular base. Depending on the contract Microsoft has with the publisher of a game, they can remove games from the subscription. It’s kinda like Netflix. They pick up a license for 1 year and after that period the item gets removed. You do have the opportunity to purchase these games with a discount. That way you can keep playing the games you really like.
