The Back Ham is a Legendary item in Borderlands 3. This Anshin shield has a decent shield capacity and recharges pretty quickly. The Back Ham’s special abilities give you additional survivability bonuses. While this might not be “THE BEST” shield, it does carry you a long way.

How to get the Back Ham?:
The Back Ham can be obtained randomly from any suitable loot source but has a 15% chance to drop from Archer Rowe who is located in the Meridian Metroplex on Promethea.
Trivia:
- The name, flavor text and effect reference Typhon DeLeon’s audio logs, in which he repeatedly refers to a Vercuvian Ham strapped onto his back to protect himself.
