About the Beacon:
The Beacon is a Legendary Weapon in Borderlands 3. This Maliwan Pistol deals good damage on itself. The fire rate is okay but definitely not as fast as a Hellshock. The Beacon’s special power lies in its reload. Every time you reload it will trigger a Nova Blast in the form of the weapon’s current element. You want to empty the clip of the Beacon instead of prematurely reloading as the damage of the Nova will increase the lower the magazine is. The max damage of the Nova is 500% of the weapon’s damage. Therefore you want a Beacon with a small magazine size because then it’s easier for you to quickly trigger a lot of high damage Novas. This is a great weapon to give to Zane’s Clone as it will also trigger the Novas. When doing so you want to take a Transformer of Red Suit shield and give the clone a Shock or Radiation Beacon. Because the weapon deals splash damage and therefore can hurt you.
Special Weapon Effect:
“This little light of mine…”
- Reloads trigger a Nova blast of the weapon’s current element
- Shots deal splash damage
- Incendiary, Shock, Corrosive, Cryo, Radiation
- Elemental Damage Guide
