Flayer

The Flayer is a Legendary weapon in Borderlands the Pre-Sequel. This Jacobs Shotgun is a significant improvement over a standard Coach Gun. Because its upsides negate the usual downsides of normal Jakobs shotguns which is a low magazine size and accuracy. Combine this with the increased damage allows the Flayer to easily kill tough enemies or multiple weaker foes in a single magazine.

Special Weapon Effects:

“OMG, what’s it doing to Sanchez?!”
Consumes 2 ammo per shot, heavily increased magazine size (In comparison to other Jakobs shotguns), increased weapon damage, slightly increased accuracy. Fires 15 bullets in a tight spread (17 with Rustler’s prefix).

How to get the Flayer ?:

The Flayer can be obtained randomly from any suitable loot source but has an increased chance to drop from ANY kind of virus. A  good farming location is the Motherlessboard in the Claptastic Voyage DLC.

How to Grind the Flayer ?:

You can use the Grinder to create the Flayer. While there is no guaranteed recipe, you can combine 2 Legendary weapons and 1 Purple Shotgun to obtain a random legendary shotgun. Be sure to make it a luneshine grind for a “guaranteed” legendary and also get a chance of getting a luneshine buff.

Notes:

• The Flayer’s damage per second is unrivaled in regards to other Jakobs shotguns, the high number of shots also means severe recoil if shots are spammed.
