The Gub is a Legendary Weapon in Borderlands 2. This Bandit pistol has very high boosted damage, which works well together with the larger magazines inherent to Bandit weapons. However, the corrosive effect limits it slightly, making it less useful against any non-armored foe.
The Gub also appears to have less aim-sway and recoil while firing (even better with a gun-stock), compared to a same-level bandit pistol, but the difference is minor in effect and the accuracy can still be considered less than impressive for a legendary. With that being said, it would be wise to use only at close-to-mid range, using it against enemies vulnerable to corrosive damage, otherwise, the effectiveness of this weapon can be fairly limited to those not specced into either an element or pistol build.
