About the Kensei:
The Kensei is a Legendary item in Borderlands 3. This legendary Siren class mod turns every weapon into a facepuncher.
Special Weapon Effect:
“Train until your weapon is an extension of your self”
After activating her action skill Amara deals 10% Bonus Melee Damage of her attuned element type with her weapons for the next 6 seconds.
How to get the Kensei?:
The Kensei Class Mod is an Arms Race exclusive Legendary. It can randomly drop from any suitable loot source within the Stormblind Complex located on Pandora. However, it has an increased chance to spawn in the red chest located at section C.
Kensei Drop Rates
- Dreadnought Drydock Loot Room: 16.7% – 23.5%
- Heavyweight Harker: 5.6% – 6.1%
- Rival Bandit Revenant (x3): 25% – 37.5%
- Cofferant or Chubby Skagg: 30%
- Air-Drop Chests: 15%
- Red Chest: 5%
- Badass Enemies: 3% – 4.5%
- White Chest: 1.5%
- Other Enemies: 0.5% – 0.75%
Skill Bonuses
Variants of the Kensei class mod grants the following bonuses:

| Unweave the Rainbow | Amara deals Bonus Damage of her attuned element whenever she deals Melee Damage or Splash Damage to frozen enemies. Bonus Damage: 11% of damage dealt |
| Joyful Freedom | After activating her Action Skill, Amara gains increased Melee Damage for a short time. Melee Damage: +14% Duration: 12 seconds |
- Best Roll: 5/5 “Joyful Freedom”
Notes:
- The Bonus Elemental Damage doesn’t count as Melee Damage and therefore won’t trigger other skills or melee artifact augments.
- The name of the class mod is an honorable title given to a warrior with legendary swordsmanship skills. The Red flavor text is an extension of this.
